I swore I would ever get one. Now my laptop went poof, and wife wanted and Mac, so we got one now. So I believe I can get one now, using the mac, please correct me if I am wrong. This thread is not for people saying that they should be cheaper, or complain about them if they don't have one.
So if you have one, or many, do you like them? Do you hate them or dislike them? If so, why? I lost my Necron codex so I am thinking of getting it for the mac if I can do it. Before I do so, I want to know what benefit I would get, and to see why people love them or not.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.
Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

I have no idea if this is true or not (I don't actually own an iPad, so I can't exactly buy the books) but I heard from a friend that the one good thing about them is that they actually get updated along with the FAQs, so you don't have to use a separate document to know about the rules updates. Not a big deal, but kind of nice if you play somewhere without internet access. However, they are ridiculously expensive for what you get. A fully digital book should never cost the same as a hardcover book, but GW prices them that way anyways.
Also, are you using an actual iPad? Because if I'm not mistaken, you can only use the digital codices using an iPad, not with any sort of Mac device. I know that they do not work on iPhone/iPod touch, which is why I never bothered to buy them.

The digital codicies are for iPad only, so you won't be able to read them on a Mac. Annoyingly enough, they are only for iOS, so can't be read on Apple's own desktop/laptop line.

Wait...there's no "ipad reader app" for desktop/laptops? Well, there goes any hope of me ever buying an apple product again. I swear, apple is the Games Workshop of electronic devices.

I just found out, that is soooooo true. Paying way to much, but they are both high quality products. I guess, GW and Apple are a match made in heaven. They both seem to run on the same principle, secretive, don't give any sales or discounts as well.
