No its not a horror movie, its an idea. I've drifted between fantasy armies and 40k armies for a long time only for a short while ago for me to decide to stick with Daemons as my go to 40k army. My indecisiveness has left me with a lot of spare models of different races, one of which was an old tomb kings battalion. Now i started daemons before their new codex was launched back when daemonic troops were points heavy and having units of 10 was a fairly good idea. This is no longer the case and I would like to expand my plague bearer units as i find Nurgle the most aesthetically and fluff awesome of the 4 chaos Gods. So i looked at my tomb kings, still assembled and thought "They would make OK plague bearers with a bit of bulk and creepy added" then i noticed the pot of liquid green stuff positioned innocuously on my desk. Currently waiting on the first batch of legs that i applied the green stuff to to see how it turned out. I'm thinking it will need at least two layers of liquid green to get the look I'm after, but it means i can expose parts of the skeleton underneath for a really unique look. Ill try and get some pictures posted up once the layers have dried to show how they turned out/

I love the idea as well!

Maybe get some real green stuff too, to make thicker parts, then use the liquid green stuff to transition the larger blobs onto the skeleton.

I'm thinking the regular green stuff purely to give them some 'paunch' around the waste, like all the plaguebearers have.

Ok first test model is in, I'm pretty happy with him, he looks a lot less goofy and out of proportion, has all the trademark nurgly goodness. Only potential problem is he is about a head shorter than the stock plaguebearers, but hell daemons come in all shapes and sizes right? included below is a front and back shot of my fleshed skellie plague bearer and a group shot with my great unclean one, pictures changed the colour's a fair bit, my photo-fu is not good.

Another thought on my skellies to plague bearers, i have a load of skeleton horses, i wonder I've I rotten fleshed them up, like I have with the skelies, do the same with the riders and give them scythes, mounted them on larger bases could i use them as plague drones....

On a related note if i try this what base size should I chuck em on?
