Another quickie commission. This customer wanted a darker, more "Navy" colored robe, paired with fiery red hair in contrast to the standard fare. Total time about 5.5 hours. Input welcome! (More photos hopefully to come. Phone changeover stunted a part of this process.)

Don't play the game but that is one good looking mini any day.

Thanks!

I don't play the game either. I tried, but it just wasn't engaging to me. The fluff, the mechanics, the so-called "elite strategy;" none of it was interesting or challenging for me.

That said, they have some good looking minis. They are a clear #2 in this arena. Plus, people at my local shop pay me to paint their casters for them, so why not?

That's a great 5.5 hours of work ;-) I find that metallics really help quick paint jobs; the reflective quality gives them depth without any effort! Did you add any extra highlights to the gold? Nice job.

Thank you!

The gold metallics were GW Warplock Bronze, Gehenna's Gold, and then VMC: Air Chrome. Gehenna's is the mid, Warplock the shade, a little bit of Chrome mixed in for highlights. Chrome (and Mithril Silver, for that matter) can overtake a metallic mixture pretty easily, so use sparingly.
