1500 tournament list

100 runepriest (bolt pistol) (divination)

100 runepriest (bolter) (divination)

195 10 GH, 2 plasma, Pod

195 10 GH, 2 plasma, Pod

190 10 GH, 2 melta, Pod

235 3 x TWC 2 SS, 1 PF

205 3 x TWC 1 SS, 1 PF

140 6 LF, 5ML

140 6 LF, 5ML

Tactics

Runepriests go with LF and hag cover, (ruin) and spam missiles with twin linked or ignore cover, supporting the drop podding GH who drop forward to the enemy followed by the two teams of TWC who are there for mass carnage. The last GH drops where needed. There arent many fliers in my local meta but i think i can manage 1 of them with the long fangs. What do you think?

Pretty solid list. Nice redundancy and solid choices all around. At 1500 points you won't see many Flyers, except maybe from Necrons. Prescience and 10 Missile Launchers should do the trick easily enough.

if it were me, I'd have wanted to drop the second SS to get Wolf Standards in every Grey Hunter pack. Far better buy IMO.

This is a very solid 1500 point list. You shouldn't have any trouble with anyone really. But if it was me, I'd ditch one rune priest for an ADL for the Long Fangs to stand behind. Quad gun is bonus.

I would definately go with the above situation and take an ADL, divination with a dude on the quad gun is cool, especially if the priest also takes a chooser of the slain cannily placed so you can shoot the quad gun at BS5

Again, just remember that the quad gun and Icarus lascannon are both TWIN LINKED. That means that you already get to re-roll to-Hit rolls - you don't need to cast divination on the gunner.

The Icarus is not twin-linked on its own. Only the Quad Gun is.

i thought of the aegis but the 4+ cover ill get it from ruins and hills as for the gun i think is a better deal to have 2 squads of LF with Twinlinked or ignore cover than one and 1 lascannon with skyfire, (i dont like quad gun too weak for taking down fliers fast). As for the standards i think they are great but never served me well beacause usually i get shot to death and never assaulted when i land with the pods so i think the storm shield will serve me better.

I know they are allready twin linked, but if he is in the squad he twin links them as well, and with there ability to split fire they can shoot down another flyer to the quad gun if neccessary re rolling those misses they have

I played an Icarus Lascannon on divination RP at a tournament at the weekend. In 3 of my games he didnt do much other than give my LF squad re-rolls, however in the other 3 he did manage to take out a Helldrake, Doomscythe and a Vendetta with interceptor on the turn they arrived before they could even shoot.
Interceptor is the reason you take an ADL, without it, that helldrake will roast your long fangs before you even have a chance to shoot him.

Its better to burn out than to fade away

Not treu, my IG will play 3 vendettas and some necron player will use 4 (I don't know what they are called) you see alot of flyers in tournaments even on low points. If I want to be a jerk on low points say 800 I play 3 vendetta's

If you are imperial guard and play 3 vendettas at 800 points against a spacewolf with drop pods and long fangs you make your opponent a favor. You probably loose the game from the start and if you play second, you certainly lost it, because the force you gonna deploy is gonna vaporize in blink of an eye. I have fought an imperial guard heavy on infantry and with nearly 70 shots manage to do 7 wounds and kill 2 grey hunters, and then rapid fire boltgun began Drop Pod wolves are the bane of imperial guard. As for the aegis the only reason to take one is for a helldrake but there is none in my local meta thats why i dont bother with it. Thnx for feedback mates

Ha ha ha, i wish we had that matter solved in the battlefield and not in words. Sorry if i offended your guardsmen or your strategy (didnt mean to) but thats what my experience has taught me
