So with necron abyss becoming harder and harder to get a hold of i'm looking for an alternative paint, Kantor blue is (sooooo, SOOOOO) not the same and I have heard vallejo night blue or P3 exile blue is a good match. Has anyone tried either of these substitutes?

I can say from experience that P3 Exile Blue is lighter. I bought with the same intentions and I now use it as a highlight of sorts.

Closests match. is Vallejo Deep sea blue. Not sure if they do the same colour in the model colour range. But the one for Model air is nearly spot on. but it relies a lot on the undercoat. If i spray it on black. it stays black. Spray it on white or grey primer, and it pops a nice dark blue.

If you look in my gallery you will see a Brass scorpion. That is the dark sea blue.
