Having recently seen what GW has done to dire avengers, I resolved to go to my FLGS and buy two kits of dire avengers for a total of 80 dollars (because of tax). I am considering selling them on Amazon or eBay, but am wondering what price I should sell them for and which site I should sell them on.

I'll take 'em off your hands for a dollar.

You could probably get the worth of one and a half times the new 5 man box. That being said, the new five man box looks like its just the 10 man box with a few less sprews. Which it REALLY COOL, because it costs the same and halves the number of minis you get.

They're going on eBay for 60-70 bucks. I did the same thing, but I think I'll probably hold onto them for my own Eldar army.

I'd say wait a bit until everyone sells theirs, and then the prices will go back up once all the old ones are off the market.

If you are referring to what the OP said, that would be two of the old ten man boxes. 20 dire avengers for 80 bucks. Not bad.

Nah, just joking at the fact that people are willing to pay 60+ dollars for the old dire avengers box. I mean, it's not like it's a collectors' item. Its only quality was being cheaper!

For a mere 5$ discount, I'd better find a discount online or brick and mortar retailer and spare myself the inconvenience.

I would honestly hold onto them if you ever think you are going to play Eldar. If not then wait a few weeks then see what Ebay is selling them for and use that as a guideline.

I play eldar, I am just waiting to see if DA took a huge nerf or if their guns got some huge OP ability (say, ID).

I think they have less range and rending against non-vehicles. So T6-7 get no armour saves against catapults.

That kind of sucks. I'll probably just revert to guardians.

In 3rd ed werent Dire Avengers just an upgrade blister to a box of guardians? metal heads and little butt flap things?

Dire avenger heads can still be had from bits sellers and guardians are pretty cheap in bulk lots if you want to strip/repair them.
