I recently started picking up some WarmaHordes stuff, and the customizing bastard in me that fits the Orks perfectly refuses to use stock color schemes. Seeing as how kitbashing WarmaHorde models is significantly harder without excessive greenstuff knowledge (im good with polymer clay, but dont have the tools with me atm and GS is far stickier), my personalizing will have to come mainly at the painting quality and style.

That being said here are 3 Kriel Warrior Caber Throwers with a different paint scheme. I spent about an hour or so on each model. Given the extremely low model count requirements compared to 40k, i intend to give every model one hell of a paintjob (as in, if i think im done i come back an hour or 2 later and do more highlights, change a color, etc etc till i cant find any more improvements). These are not at that level because i need to decide on a paint scheme. Which do you guys like?

This is all 3 of them side by side. This model isnt of any real importance, i just happened to have 3 of them and i'd rather test on the same model. The Fenblades i have are currently painted and i dont feel like stripping them till i have painted the rest (bout 20 models?)
Also the stone pillars look odd because apparently i have misplaced 2 of my 3 shades of grey ... doh!

This is the Green one, obviously playing off of Ork colors here. My interest here is 1) Green is my favorite color and 2) I am already used to painting it anyway. It looks a little off color because my usual last-touch with a drybrush of white wasnt as dry as i intended (oops lol). On the same note as 2, i dont want to do this because it would look too similar to my Ork army lol.

The idea with this one is NOT to make them look human-ish, but more like an Ogre with rough skin. Ogres have much tougher skin than humans, however its still pink-ish. My only issue is i seem to be having troubles finding a color for the eyes to match this skin.

And finally, the Red or Chaotic trollblood. I need more shades of red apparently lol. Not sure about the blue sash, i might just do white or yellow instead.

Which do you guys think looks best? I cant decide

An ork with an idea tends to end with a bang.

I'd say they all work pretty well. Though if you're looking for something different, the bottom two would be the best. For the one in the middle, you could also give it a tint of blue, or purple, or something else. That would make it appear less like humanish flesh. Doing this with a glaze or wash will help add contrast and shading and accentuate the muscle structure.
