Its only happened a couple of times but annoys the hell out of me.
when instead of rolling their dice they just shake their hand a little and slap it over onto the table.
The last guy who did this was magically rolling direct hits with blast templates 99% of the time. To meet is seems like cheating.
You should have to drop or roll the dice for a good random result....not just slap your hand over while looking at the dice in your hand

Because it is cheating.
Cheaters aren't really an issue that you can correct with additional rules, because they'll just keep cheating.

I've seen this happen as well. To be honest just make a comment to the guy. "Do you mind 'rolling' the dice instead of dropping." I'm sure they will be cool about it. If they aren't you likely don't want to play with those types of people anyways.
Good luck.

I always try to play dice must make a full rotation in the air. It's fine for small amounts of dice, but isn't practical when rolling 20 d6s.

Yeah it definitely sounds like he was cheating. The only case where it's acceptable to do something other than the roll as described in the pic is when rolling 30+ dice, then you can sort of just drop or let them roll out of your hand.

Yes seriously, glad to know in not the only one who feels like this is cheating. I said something and he was playing stupid like he couldn't understand the problem.

Ah, so he's not just a cheater, he's a cheater who couldn't even plan ahead about what to do when caught.

Even then I just cup both hands, pick an open area of the table, and make sure they're rolling as they hit the surface.

i have once rolled 120 dice.. ahh the glory! Do insure no die cheat was possible i rolled in an open as described. I always try to make my rolls clear and visible to my foe so he can see the results. It has earned me some trust in games from players who looked at me skeptically.

Jesus, I roll like that all the time. I prefer it because it seems more dramatic (louder noise etc) and the dice don't scatter everywhere, and I wouldn't cheat even if I knew how. Noones taken issue with it sofar, but if its an actual problem and not just OPs opinion I should probably stop.

The problem with 'rolling' dice with the OPs mentioned method is that it is fairly easy to 'fiddle' with the dice in your hands to make the numbers you want to show up.. be face down against your hand so that when you slap them down you get exactly the numbers you want or need.

Now I like to take a huge hand full and toss my dice all over the place but I do feel like a three year old playing in my food when I do that. But it's fun haha

Ah I get it now. When I do it it's more rolling them as per usual inside a cupped hand so they don't fly everywhere ~ they still 'roll' and I have no idea what number will come up

Goddamnit why can't GW have more of this and less of their other rubbish?

I prefer just loading a bucket full of D6s and dumping them out. Much faster that way. No way am I going to roll a single die 90 times to resolve a full brood of Devilgaunt's shooting.
