Does anyone know where I could find someone who does custom prop work? I am looking to commission someone to build a metal bolter or lasgun that is hollow, so I could put an airsoft gun or .22 or something inside of it to plink with. I wasn't sure if this should go in the swap shop or not because it's not miniature related, but if this is the wrong spot then I apologize. Thanks.

If you're not set on it being metal, then I can suggest a number of places, or even help you find some resources to do it yourself (it's not as hard as you'd think).

But if you definitely want it to be metal, then you're going to have some difficulty here, as prop makers typically do not make props out of metal.

Well, the metal isn't the number one priority, but I would want it to be as sturdy as possible if I'm going to be running around with it or something.

If you want to use it as an airsoft gun, ask around some airsofters. I know some airsoft stores will custom build guns. I don't know if they'll do something like a lasgun or bolter, but it's certainly possible.

You're better off asking airsofters in the local area whether they know anyone who does that kind of work. If you're lucky, you may even find someone who can fix it when it inevitably breaks

If you're just worried about running around, I'd recommend some molded plastic for its casing. It can be very sturdy.
