Been lurking for a long while, and finally decided to start painting. Never really painted much in the past, but decided to try my hand with Necrons.
The scheme was inspired by some pictures I saw online.
Looking for some feedback/tips, already know I should be thinning my paints more though!

Figured if I start this thread, I might actually have the motivation to keep going and not give up after a week.

First up, Warriors! (Got some clear red rods on the way, don't like how they look painted!)

And my WIP Doom/Night Scythe, waiting for magnets before I finish it off now, just needs the weapons. Although if anyone could tell me how to remove that horrible texture on the bone parts on the wings, that'd be much appreciated. Seem to be able to thin my other paints down, but GW Ushabti Bone always comes out horrible for me! :(

And a closer shot of the base

Next up, after finishing the Scythe, is a Triarch Stalker. Which I'm greatly looking forward to painting
As I said, new to this, so all feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks!
(First post here too, have I sorted images right? Too big? Too small?)

If this is your first time proper painting anything, then you're really, really good! The first thing I painted were some gak Ultramarines.. They really were terrible, I still have all five of them :')

Totally agree, these are an amazing first attempt. I like the colour scheme although i think an ice blue would work better in place of the red and would help tie the ice theme together... just a thought.

Thanks! It probably helps that I do a few other art-y things, and that I spent almost a week on the Scythe, and each warrior almost half a day. Spent so much time cleaning up mistakes.

Damn it! I wish I'd thought of blue! I did the red before I decided to have all the ice though. :(

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Just won an eBay auction for a Phalanx set for £65, so Destroyers, Monolith and a huge swarm of warriors on the way!
