Hello to everyone on the forums!

I have been interested in the Warhammer hobby for quite some time but have never been to good at painting as well as battling ^.^ lol. I have recently started a new Eldar army
and will be painting them as the craft world yem-loc. I have however already run into the problem of getting the vibrant orange I am after and getting the grey to a reasonable tone (so that one doesn't overpower the other). I haven't done much painting
since GW released the new range (and in general).

I tried building up from red to an orange using the following.

Mephiston red
Evil sunz
Evil sunz, Troll slayer 75/25
Evil sunz, troll slayer 50/50 etc, eventually very thinned layer of pure troll slayer over the top. The end result was nice thin layers but it just lacked the punch im looking for.

If anyone else knows a good way to get an effective orange I would really appreciate some advice and help.

I also bought the old eldar codex like 2 weeks before the new one was announced >.<.. so im already off to a bad start.

But yeah, there is the difficulty with buying an old codex. It's unique because everybody's buying up the new stuff, but then they drop the new codex bomb on you and you've *hopefully* just threw away $33.00... Maybe your FLGS would take a trade?

Good luck with the Eldar, I plan on taking some allies once the new codex hits!

However due to money being tight and me living like 2 hours from FLGS I decided to buy the codex online lol, and im not sure a refund would be acceptable due to a re-release.
