How would one go about painting a nice rich orange similar to that seen on eldar fire dragons (using the "new" GW paint line). I have tried building up from red to orange using this method
but I cant get it right.

mephiston red > evil sunz scarlet > evil sunz scarlet / troll slayer 75/25 - 50/50 > pure troll slayer. Need a wash in there? A glaze to bring the colors together?

Am I missing something? a color perhaps or am I just doing it wrong?

Any advice is greatly appreciated

very easily~!

Paint one layer of yellow glaze
paint one layer of Red glaze
then one layer of troll slayer orange

The result is very pleasing!

Personally, I would use the mid tone colour; a good solid orange, and then use a red wash to recess, followed by a mixture of the original orange and a dark yellow to highlight.

Can't really be more specific on names, since I use Vallejo personally rather than citadel.

I primed white and then painted three layers of orange onto my models.

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?
