im starting a space wolf army, ive played CSM a long time and i would like a force that i can pair with my brothers at doubles tornaments and im kinda fed up of being a bad guy.

DARK ANGELS woo woot
the way to win is not to make a grand masterplan, its by making sure your opponents grand masterplan fails

A TAC list for Space Wolves at 500? I can help!

This is the list my old man uses, it works pretty well it seems.

HQ

Rune Priest

Troops

5 Grey Hunters, Powerfist, Wolf Standard, Flamer, Razorback w/ TL Lascannons

6 Grey Hunters, Powerfist, Wolf Standard, Flamer, Razorback w/ TL Lascannons

This leaves 30 points for you to pimp your razorbacks or Rune Priest. Good amounts of dakka on the Grey Hunter squads, they're great in CC too, especially with the standard. You've got 2 TL Lascannons for anti-armor, and the Rune Priest equipped with JOTWW can wreck MCs

Sacean 28th Hunter Cadre: 2000
Armageddon 53rd Heavy Armored Division: 3000

The Battle Force is a solid choice. Plenty of Space Wolves + Drop Pod. You'll want to splash in normal Space Marine kits though. Devastators for getting heavy weapons, even vanilla Space Marine Tactical Squad for a Missile Launcher, Flamer, and some variety in heads/armor.

As for a list, I'd keep it simple at 500 points:

Rune Priest w/ Runic Armor, Chooser of the Slain, Living Lightning, Storm Caller @ 130 pts
Grey Hunters w/ x2 Plasma + Standard + MotW @ 185pts
Grey Hunters w/ x2 Plasma + Standard + MotW @ 185pts

Comes to 500 even. You'll be fine walking, and if you need cover you can make your own in a pinch.
