Need some help after searching high and low, far and wide.
I am looking for a painting tutorial for power weapons. I seem to remember the technique was demonstrated on an Ork Choppa (of the axe variety).
Then end result was orangey-red kinda like this;

Any help?

I'm not sure if it's entirely the effect you're looking for, but this may help:

I use it on chainsword casings and power weapons and the result is quite effective. Hope it helps.

Thank you for your interest, but that isn't remotely the look I was going for.

Ummm that is exactly the look you are going for, just painted in a different shape. No?

Just paint those colors along the edge of the blade. Then with the last two highlight colors make small stroke marks along the blade. If you want a more orange and yellow color shift the base and high light colors to more orange equivalents.
