I've decided that I don't like how Imperial Guard start to take over a list and shift the focus away from my Grey Hunters, and since Space Wolves are the superior Chapter I don't need any MEQ allies. I don't care for Allies of Convenience.Notes:
- Imperial Bastion should be set up more towards a corner than in the middle of the board, angled to give good line of fire.
- Long Fang Pack #2 "embarks" inside the Bastion.
- Long Fang Pack #1 sit pretty on the roof with the Quad Gun.
- TWC hide behind the Bastion if I'm going second, deploy aggressively if going first.
- 7 Drop Pods mean I have 4 that are coming in on Turn 1.
- I can either have a TDA unit come down on Turn 1, or I can split off the Wolf Guard to lead my Grey Hunters:
- Combi-Melta & Wolf Claw Power Armor Wolf Guard goes with a Meltagun toting Grey Hunter unit.
- Assault Cannon & Power Weapon TDA Wolf Guard goes with a Meltagun toting Grey Hunter unit.
- Combi-Plasma & Wolf Claw TDA Wolf Guard go with the Plasma Gun toting Grey Hunter units.
- Alternatively, the Assault Cannon could go in with Long Fang Pack #3.
- Alternatively, the Assault Cannon could go in the Bastion with one of the other Long Fang Packs if my short range won't be a problem.
- Rune Priest probably sticks in with the Long Fangs; Pack #1 if no Heldrake, Pack #2 with Heldrake.
- The Rune Priest is my Warlord unfortunately, but I could risk it by:
- Deploying it with the Wolf Guard when I don't split off the Wolf Guard
- Deploying it with the Grey Hunter + PAWG if I do split off the Wolf Guard (also useful if I end up using Long Fang Pack #3 as I can have the Rune Priest on the board for Prescience).
- Long Fang Pack #3 might be a waste of 90 points.
- Potentially can really ruin a Flyer's day (since I'd have to Snap Fire at it anyways) but with only 3 Multi-Melta's I'm not sure I'll actually be able to hit.
- If I can get Prescience off on them, I probably will get one hit (92%) which is all I'll need thanks to AP 1 and Melta.

So, hope to hear from some of you! Opinions regarding the Imperial Bastion, where to put my Rune Priest, and what to do with Long Fang Pack #3. I'm not actually sure I have a better use for those 90 points.

Hehe, totally. In fact, to reach 1500 just drop 2 of the Wolf Guard (leaving all 3 Combi/WolfClaw TDA), the TWC, and the 3rd Long Fang pack (move the Drop Pod to a different pack) and you are sitting at 1489 points. May as well add that Chooser of the Slain...

Heh, and for 1750 just drop those 2 Wolf Guard models (the Assault Cannon and the Combi-Melta/Wolf Claw PAWG).
