How do these work? Do the Mandiblasters still automatically hit the model in base contact with the model equipped with them, or is the attack simply lost? I am pretty sure it can't hurt the model wearing it as it says an enemy model in base contact with the wearer.

All the worlds a joke and the people merely punchlines

I would play it the same way as hammer of wrath, Mss happens before init 10 and takes the place of the models normal attacks, which include HOW and mandiblasters. As neither are a Melee weapon you can't use their profile when making the d3 attacks from Mss.

As I recall if a model is Affected by MSS then, its D3 attacks are set against its own unit or in the case of a Duel against itself, if this is some form of Special Attack from the unit affected by MSS then it is either lost or used against itself/unit.

Just my two cents

The victim of MSS doesn't make any attacks at all. He only inflicts D3 hits on his own unit.

Actually, if the victim has a force weapon, you can activate it if you cause a wound, so I would say that he is attacking with his own weapon, but only with D3 attacks istead of what is on his profile.

Except in my case where I like to assault with the Immortal unit. Overlord with 2 Lords connected to 2 Immortal units with MSS and Warscythes deployed by a Night Scythe is a unit that likes to assault with 7-10 Tesla Immortals. sometimes I put the res orb on the Overlords. It makes it funny when the opponent can never put the unit down because they keep standing back up or making all of them beat themselves to death.
