Feel like an idiot not knowing what this is.

I purchased about ~600 worth of Tau 4 months prior to the new dex dropping for about 350USD. Most of it is already painted (crudely, i intend to repaint them eventually).
I never play against Tau, noone in the local meta runs them except me and ive only ran them as an ally detachment (curse you broadsides losing your S10 shots.....). At first i thought these were Stealth Suits, but realized they dont look right. Are they really old Stealth Suits or something else? Its metal, and i have 5 of them for some reason.

Its is a stealth suit but an older version. The current one is just a improved stealth suit.

Really? Lol i guessed right then. Puts more value on them than i initially thought they were (i literally had them mixed in with Firewarriors and didnt notice for awhile lol)

Actually been using them as Pathfinder proxies lately since i had no idea what they were, i dont ever see a use for stealth suits, and i only have 8 pathfinders anyway.

Thanks

It looks like a conversion of the XV15 Stealth Shas'vre.

That is indeed the old model stealth suit from the previous codex. Not so useful anymore unless you want to convert since they don't have the full range of options for weapons and wargear (plus they're metal unless that's the finecast version).

That said, I find them infinitely preferable astheticly to the old sculpts...I'd take them off your hands if you didn't want to use them

I painted mine with some weird green paint I got at an art store over a black undercoat.

They look like they're from Halo. : D

It was like interference or iridescent paint or something like that...
