Okay, so I caught an early look at the eldar codex, and I have a few bits of news. I will refrain from doing full statlists etc for obvious reasons, but I can tell you a few good bits.

- Firstly, the exodite dragon riders, court of the young king, smaller avatar etc appears to have been rumour only. The avatar appears in the codex gallery pictures just like he was in 5th.

- The avatar is now more deadly, but has been brought up to 195pts, with extra options available to upgrade his strength, invul save, etc.

- The wraithknight is 240pts base with two heavy wraithcannons, but doesn't really extend over 300 points with extra weapon options taken if you want to tool him up a bit.

- The eldar seem to have been given a wholesale upgrade to BS4. Massively good for general infantry and vehicles.

- A new special has been applied to most eldar that results in them being able to run AND shoot, or shoot THEN run, in the same shooting phase, resulting in a real terms range upgrade for those beleaguered shuriken catapult troops.

- Storm Guardians can now get a couple of power swords aswell as the fusion pistols they've had access to before.

- Fire Dragons now have 3+ saves.

- Rangers are now 12pt per model, down from 19.

- Pathfinders seem to require Illic Nightspear's presence in the army, for 13pts more per model.

- Most eldar infantry have had slight points increases, with the fire dragons being the largest, but it's paid for with the new armour.

- Harlequins are virtually unchanged in all respects.

- Scatter lasers, if scoring a hit, then result in any other weapons on the model counting as twin linked. EG, have your serpent fire its scatter laser first, then use the underslung shuriken cannon afterwards for a bonus.

Think that's enough for now, and hopefully I've been incomplete or vague enough to avoid upsetting any moderators. No full statlists have been posted as your forum rules state.

Incidentally, if anyone wants any of the new eldar painted, check my website's gallery; eldar have gotten a lot of attention from me in the last year.
