So I saw a Mines of Moria box set in one toys and hobby shop for Php 4.5k (roughly $120). Is it worth buying? I'm a huge fan of LotR and Tolkien but not that much interested in playing (although I have 24 Warriors of Rohan) since I don't have people to play LotR with and I have a lot of games and figures that still needs attention.

I'm mostly in it for the minis and I have always wanted my own Fellowship of the Ring (and for potential DnD use), but problem is I can't find one here in the Philippines that's in metal (if you don't take eBay into consideration). I kinda like how the goblins and the trolls and Gandalf looks, but I'm still not sold on the static poses of the rest of the Fellowship. So what's the general consensus here? Is it worth buying? Can the static poses be saved by paintjob and some conversion? Haven't seen a lot of reviews about Mines of Moria so I really couldn't make an informed decision about it.

that was a long time ago, would probably retail for about £50-65 nowadays, also, if your gonna spend that much on the tiny contents of Mines of Moria, check my lord of the rings minis I have up for sale, very cheap for a huuuuuge army.

If you only want the Fellowship, and not the rest of the box, look for a metal version online. Better poses, for a start. If you're not going to play with the rules, or use the scenery, it should be ok.

Well a few additional goblins and trolls and some scenery wouldn't hurt my collection. I'm just iffy about the price and the fellowship.

I have a boxed set that of Mines of Moria that I can let go for way cheaper than the ones at NG.
