Could you put flowaid and slowdri additives to your airbrush mix? I'm wondering if it will help the flow be better out of the airbrush. I need perfectly smooth spray for my next project and sometimes my airbrush will spurt after using it for a while...

I almost always add flow improver to an AB mix. Really helps with tip dry. Drying retarder, I've never felt the need to use.

It is not a bad combo for airbrushing. I use it myself mixed with Distilled water. It is my general thinning mix for painting and as said the Drying retarder is not needed.

What's the rationale behind using flow aid to prevent tip dry as opposed to drying retarder? Drying retarder has been great at reducing dry tip for me.

I generally find that higher flow and a bit lower pressure does the job. The drying retardant I use (Vallejo) just doesn't seem to make as much difference.
