Subject: Quick Warlord Traits Question

If you take a named IC with a warlord trait in an allied detachment, I'm guessing you can't use their warlord trait as a 1) an ally can't be a warlord, 2) your primary detachment warlord already has a trait, and presumably you can only have one per army?
But i haven't read this while glancing through the rulebook, wanted to double check.
Cheers

Warlord Traits are comparable to Chapter Tactics (C: SM). While any number of HQs can have one your army only benefits from one (whichever one your Warlord has).

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

All being an IC that has a set warlord trait does is it means that if that guy is the Warlord he can automatically have that trait instead of rolling normally.

Substitute "must" for "can".
