Im looking at positioning the legs on some of my sw army and was wondering if any of you have done this just using gs rather then running wire through legs and if so how hard is it to get the desired finish.
on something small like infantry you could probably get away with not using wire to repose it. For a space marine leg i would recommend using a razor saw to cut behind the kneedpad, then use plastic glue to reattach the leg once you get it to the desired shape/pose. any gaps can be greenstuffed after that dries.
If you have plastic still joining back to other plastic, the wire isn't essential. if you wind up with the join between the two pieces just being green stuff, wire is a good idea, as green stuff on its own doesn't give a real firm bond.
