Nobody can comment until you post the full list, and how many points the whole army is.

Note to the reader: my username is not arrogance. No, my name is taken from the most excellent of commanders: Lord Castellan Creed, of the Imperial Guar- I mean Astra Militarum - who has a special rule known only as "Tactical Genius"... Although nowhere near as awesome as before, it now allows some cool stuff for the Guar- Astra Militarum - player. FEAR ME AND MY TWO WARLORD TRAITS. |

I would not squadron the tanks, I would keep them separate so they can each fire at different targets.

Hmm...I'm not licking this list for some reason....I don't know why anyway
Ever since they have changed lumbering behemoth rules, sponsons on Lemun Russ's
are not as effective as they used to be. Realistically your sponsons will just be snap
firing through out the game. I would scrap them.
Missile Launchers on veterans.....if you intend for them to drop in behind enemy armor
via vendetta's you might as well give them melta guns or the demolitions doctrine.
However seeing as your already got 6 twin linked lascannons and a vanquisher I think
you set on anti-armor.

^print it out, lick, success Sponsons are fine on those russ variants. Its only on ordnance ones that the others will often be snapfiring often. And if you've got nothing else competing with the heavy support slots, might as well run them individually. Overall I think you have too much stoked up in that CCS, its costing quite a bit and I take it the 2 vets with out chimeras are in the vendettas? Cause this would leave the CCS on foot. Running through it I would loose the commanders PP, the 3 GLs, OoF and 2 bodyguards. Then from the veterans, all the voxes. They aren't that beneficial for vets IMO and the CCS also would need one for it to work, plus you cannot issue orders to units in a transport. Also would loose the missile launchers, they're expensive and just okay. Since the vest will probably be moving around a bit I imagine they would have to snapfire all the time... which is problematic. The russ loadouts seem fine. With points scrounged from that, you may almost be able to get another unit (I haven't added it up, looks around 120ish). At the moment you have an abundance of ap2, but not much to deal to particularly heavy vehicles other than the vanquisher and a bit of help from the vendettas. Maybe loadout some of those vets with meltaguns? Then in terms of general army composition, I dont think 2 chimeras will last long at all with everything else being AV14 and vendettas which turn up later. So may want to reconsider those, maybe drop something to get more chimeras or drop the chimeras for something else. You've got 2 troops in the vendettas already.

Read the FAQ then read the rule book, only the LRBT and demolisher were hurt, these russes got a bonus being able to fire all weapons.

If 3 russ's are your only heavies, dont squadron.
Im not a fan of body guards in my CCS, I like to run the CCS in the chimera, but thats all preference. If the squad is in a chimera you get 3hp to add to defend the hq, you get extra armor and weapons, and you got mobility. ( added bonus is they survive a little better against hellturkeys lol)
camo cloak what you can, when a chimera gets destroyed the unit inside is then in "cover" and gains a better save.
And yeah i would be on the fence with those missle launchers, idk why but i feel better options might be available.
Lastly i would choose either astro or OoF, not both. Matter of fact i would probably drop astro, you only have two things coming off reserves. Reserves are fairly easy to get, and if your worried roll strategic for warlord trait.

I would sign this contract but I already ate the potato

Thanks for the advice gents. I will consider all the options. Will likely drop the voxes, ML, Bodyguards, and one or the other astropath or officer of the fleet. That should save enough points for a Chimera for the CCS.

If i'm right, droppin all voxes (20 points saved), either mystic or OOF (30) and bodyguards (30), missile launchers (60) and "downgrading" two vets teams to meltas (30), you should have enough points (a total of 170 points) to give chimaera to the three units (165) that are not already onboard the vendettas) and have the whole army mechanized!
I think that a chimaera works as good as 2 bodyguards keeping alive your CCSs

I ended up getting hosed by mission crazy rules. Things like "if either player rolls a 1 or 6 on a d6 both players have Invulnerable saves for this turn" Marshall Helbrect literally shrugged of a Vanquiser Shot, and a Lascannon shot in the face. The List worked pretty good. I may see if I can scratch enough points to fit a Manticore in there.
