There's a tournament coming up, haven't been playing 40k for too long and I was just looking for some advice on the army the I'm thinking of fielding. I've played 3 matches with this army so far and have been tweaking it each time. At the end there is an explanation why I chose some of the different things but if it's too lengthy just skip it. Weird, my post from earlier isn't here. Let's try again:

1. Plasma Pistols are not worth taking. They are too expensive for what they provide. You can find a better use of that 15 points. For example...

2. Take the Quad Gun over the Icarus Lascannon. Even if you benefit from Prescience while using the Icarus, the Quad Gun will do better against most Flyers. And it only costs 15 points more...

Overall, pretty solid list. I'd configure your Wolf Guard pack differently, but that's mainly to squeeze in combi-weapons. Also, you can't charge on the turn you arrive so they're going to get shot at something fierce. Would be better to split them off as Pack Leaders, but that requires dropping 1-2 Grey Hunters from some Packs.
