Unhealthy Competition With Other Legions

Tied to a bedpost in an old motel, confused and naked.

I'm trying to waste my foes as fast as possible. Should I deepstrike all of them behind or half behind while the others assault from the front. I need them in constant cc because this guy I'm gunna play has a ton of tanks in one army and a lot of dredds in the other.
So basically I'm asking for advice on how my wraiths should go about attacking.

Deep striking means you won't be in assault till turn 3 at the earliest. Jumping across the board pretty much guarantees a turn 2 charge.

Note to the reader: my username is not arrogance. No, my name is taken from the most excellent of commanders: Lord Castellan Creed, of the Imperial Guar- I mean Astra Militarum - who has a special rule known only as "Tactical Genius"... Although nowhere near as awesome as before, it now allows some cool stuff for the Guar- Astra Militarum - player. FEAR ME AND MY TWO WARLORD TRAITS.

What Tactical said. Deepstriking does not offer you any bonus with Wraiths.

So are you saying despite his heavy firepower I should just charge from the front?

No, it would be better to advance up the table using cover.
Besides, if you want to take out tanks without having to worry about heavy firepower, it's probably better to use a Storm-tek (can attach one to a unit of 10 Immortals with a Veil-tek (Nightmare Shroud equipped) to pull off a turn 1 anti-tank Alpha strike).

Cover does nothing for wraiths as they have a 3++.

LOS blocking terrain is great for them but you need them to charge up the table at full speed and go for a turn 2 charge.

The the other posters are correct never deep strike them. They are super fast and have move through cover.

Yes.

Deepstriking wraiths means they get into close combat slower, are much more vulnerable to blast and template weapons, and makes them vulnerable to interceptor fire, and run terrible risks with mishapping.

Plus, you have to sit there twiddling your thumbs and letting your opponent shoot you once if you deepstrike before you can get into assault. You're likely having exactly the same one-turn exposure if you start them on the board and run them forward. Plus, if your opponent is running a get-in-your-face kind of army (like DA, amongst others), then you can get a turn 1 charge off.

No gain. Lots of potential downside.

Just start them on the board.
