Hey Everyone, Natdog here

So I'm starting a DE army and was looking around for the cheapest place in Australia to get citadel paint.
The best place I have found so far is Black Cultist at $4.71 a pot, but even that is expensive when your buying 50+ paint pots and I don't have huge sums of money to spend.
So I was wondering is there any place cheaper to get Citadel paint or a brand of paint the same as GW paint in Australia . Note: I have the How to Paint Citadel Miniatures Book and plan on basing my DE colour scheme off the one in the book(or very similar since this army will be the first one i paint to a good standard(I painted my Marines really bad ). Any Help would be great

Thanks Natdog

'Cheap citadel paint' hehehe thats kind of a paradox right there
Nothing against the paint, I use it myself the best discount I've seen is 20% , have you considered vallejo? there a tad cheaper with larger bottles.

'Ain't nothing crazy about me but my brain. Right brain? Riight! No not you right brain! Right left brain? Right!... Okay then lets do this!!

Barring individuals selling off unwanted pots (likely of questionable condition, if not volume, as well), the standard high end of internet seller discounts, 20% off MSRP, is about as good as it gets. Citadel paints simply are, by volume, the most expensive of the usual suspects. Reaper, Privateer Press, and Vallejo all offer quality paints of slightly varying behavior and value, but any of those would be a better bargain.

If you can see the paints in person, it isn't terribly difficult to eyeball equivalent colors and keep using your GW painting guide. If you trust the internet's collective wisdom, there are also conversion charts available online that will give you the closest equivalents to any given GW color.

I'm happy enough with the previous line of GW paints (haven't used the new one) that I won't bash the quality, but the value leaves a bit to be desired. I only buy them as a matter of convenience, as my LGS stocks them and there are no alternatives available locally. When I go online for hobby supplies, though, I usually tack a few bottles of Vallejo on to my order.
