Hi all, i was wondering if i could still use the henchmen warband as an elite choice and have Torquemada, so that i could also take one terminator squad and one strike squad as troop choices.

This exact question is answered in the GK FAQ:
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/article.jsp?categoryId=600005&pIndex=1&aId=3400019&multiPageMode=true&start=2

You will find it there.

The FAQ says no, if Coteaz is in your army Henchman warbands are troops. Furthermore you can have more than 1. I don't see how this is stopping you from having a strike squad and terminator squad in your troops selection as well.

I need to return some video tapes.

The OP presumably wants GK as allies, not as a primary.

Ah, I see. I'm sure he'll get his wish whenever the book gets it's 6th edition refresh. Seems the route all the other books are following.

Yes, i'm using GK as allies. I could take purgation or interceptor squad instead of strike squad or take paladins instead of terminator.
Thanks for the help!

Taking Coteaz doesn't require you to take henchmen. It just means if you do, they are troops.

Note to the reader: my username is not arrogance. No, my name is taken from the most excellent of commanders: Lord Castellan Creed, of the Imperial Guar- I mean Astra Militarum - who has a special rule known only as "Tactical Genius"... Although nowhere near as awesome as before, it now allows some cool stuff for the Guar- Astra Militarum - player. FEAR ME AND MY TWO WARLORD TRAITS.
