Last night was a 600 point attack/counterattack between Garry's British and my Panzers... I went with a risky list, only two tanks, and it almost proved fatal for me!

Was the first time using the hills for BGO and it proved a very different game, with dead ground from the hills fooling both me and Garry and allowing troops to sneak up close. Was a cracker of a game, the British got the upper hand initially with some fine shooting from a Firefly that knocked-out my Tiger I. But my Jagdpanther paid back the favour with a long range shot that took out a Churchill. I then dug in along the bocage and slowly took the bridge and managed to get any British unit I could see under fire. My recce patrol, who deployed on the other side of the river on a wooded hill were a real thorn in the British side taking out almost two infantry squads and a Churchill! But facing four enemy tanks with one Jagdpanther, that only had two rounds left was never gonna be fun... And then Lady Luck arrived and I rolled a six for an air attack chit and a fully laden FW190 arrived and promptly strafed the British Forward Headquarters as they drove down the road in their jeep, killing them all... He promptly flew around the table dropping bombs on tanks and strafing infantry. The British tried in vain to drive him off but to no effect, and while occupied also came under 120mm mortar fire and my slowly creeping forward infantry...

In the end the British broke, and despite losing my Tiger (first game syndrome) my army was in ok shape, though my Jagdpanther had begun to drive home out of ammo...
