I actually own the models to do this. My main motivation is comedy; as I imagine the flabbergasted, horrified faces of opponents as I enforce re-rolls on the penetration table and then repair immobilized/weapon destroyed results on a 2+. Let me know what you think.

So here's how this works: The LRC's ride side by side, with the SoD riding in the middle and the tacs in the outer ones. The Libby and Techmarine walk behind giving the AV14 salvo-boxes a 4++ and the ability to re-toll penetrating hits and then repair immobilized or WD results on a 2+. Now, they're vulnerable to deep strikers and outflanked so the dreadnought a walk behind them, also getting a 4++ and providing counter assault. Finally, the melta party on the bikes all outflank and pop the other guy's metal bawkses!!!

I think it would be a funny list, multiple objective based tournies will not go well for this list, but would be fun to run

Its fun for sure, but I don't think its super competitive. Tough but lacking in anti vehicle or anti Flyer. Anyone who sees this would just kill everything besides the Raiders first, which isnt much, and then you'd have to spread out to take objectives. Once that happens they would die.

Looks fun, but as others have said, it'll be pretty funny to see what happens.

As something stupid to consider:

you could always remove the two dreads or the bikes and add some termies to the mix.

3 LRCs with assault termies in each, followed by 2 rhinos with marines in them, would look pretty hilarious and probably scary as anything.

It's really a matter of what's more important, more bodies or dedicated anti-tank. I suspect that'll depend largely on the opponent. But it's interchangeable; the bikes+dreads are 510 points. There's a lot of flavor changes you can mess with.

Since you have the models I encourage you to try it out and post the battle reports (pics!)

Then, the matter of silly DA combo armies could be settled once and for all: hot or not
