I'm really thinking out of the box on this one.

After rereading the 2nd ed codex and the Gav Thorpe rules in Citadel Journals 39 and 44 (plus the mountains of lore), I've decided to go crazy and build an army of my favourite Eldar Faction.

I just wanted some opinions on my unit selection for my army:

Solitaire - Autarch with the Mantle of the Laughing God, Shard of Anaris (which is basically an obscene Harlequin's kiss) and Falchu's Wings.

High Shadowseer - Farseer or Spiritseer.
Fluff wise, Harlies have been known to use Wraithguard. They guard some of the Black Library and were present when Ahriman attacked. I might use the Spiritseer on this one as it will let me take WG or WB as troops. The Farseer would have little else to add to the army imo.

Master Mime - Karandras.
Fits his rules.

Harlequin Warlocks - Warlocks.
Old 2nd ed stuff here. I'm going to use them as Conceal locks for other units.

Harlequin Troupe - As normal.

Mimes - Striking Scorpions.
It fits their rules as silent and stealthy killers.

Harlequin Jetbikes - Jetbikes with a Warlock.
The Warlock with conceal acts as their special field wargear.

Vypers.
As the Venom is festooned with Dark Eldar Weapons, I'm going to use the Vyper instead.

Harlequin Fighter - Crimson Hunter.
My own addition as I really want to paint one up in Harlie colours.

Harlequin Walkers or Wraithlord.
In Rogue Trader, Harlies could use other vehicles. I'm not going as far as Land Raiders and there were rules for the Wraithlord in the Journal.

Great Harlequin - Allied DE Archon.
Fits the bill better than the Autarch.

More Harlequins from Allies.

Harlequin Audition Troupe - Wyches.
These are my own addition. Young aspiring Harlequins. Covers my allied troops choices. These guys will go in Venoms.

That's about it really.

I know I've got some controversial choices, but I think that they are the best alternatives that I could make.

Death Jesters could upgrade to a war walker, also - but ONE of the weapons had to be their reaper cannon.

But DJ were characters back then (2nd ed).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

I never saw that.

Which book was that in?

Your choices look like a fairly good fit to me. As long as everything's painted or modelled in such a way that it's obvious which units are which to avoid confusion, I don't see a problem here.

Puscifer - 2nd ed Codexes didn't have the FOC, your points were split by percentage allowance, so you had to have at least 25% of "squads" (the other options being characters, support and allies). It was easy to make a pure Harlequin army because Harlequin options appeared in each section.
