Would anyone be against the use of an Empire Griffon model as the mount for a HE Prince or Noble?

Not a fluffy choice, but it is a griffon.

I do, i'll post a picture after work.
The thing is super massive and looks much more awesome.
The noble I use for it is the rider from the dragon kit.
Also doubles as my Eltharion on Stormwing.

Dont see how this would work as they are two different base sizes

I suppose it could work. I would just paint it accordingly. Dont use the second head variant. And add High Elven decor and the like. Also make sure the base is correct and all, as was mentioned.

I wouldn't be against it at all. I was actually planning on trying this out myself along with a few other ones.

Oh, I fully plan on some conversion to make it appear more HE, certainly change that breastplate on it for something more elf looking, the model for the rider I was planning is the one that comes with the Phoenixs as I don't really plan on fielding one of those with a rider, but I do want one. I may even see if the armoured phoenix head will fit to it with some green stuff.

I wouldn't have an issue with it at all, i love the empire model griffon.
The one concern i have is how do you reconcile the base size issue ? HE griffon is on a square sized monster base, Empire i think is on a chariot sized monster base (if not the biggie monster base).
On the one hand its a raw deal to make the HE player take the bigger base for cosmetic purposes, but i don't think the Empire griffon will fit on a square monster base.
... i'm actually pretty interested in the outcome of this, because i was milling about a conversion along the same lines for my Eltharion.

My guess would be with a lot of pinning and weighting of the square monster base this can be done.
