Hi dakka,

I'm kinda sorta thinking about collecting grey knights
and I'm looking for a paint scheme tha that makes them less samey and metallic.

could be as easy as painting them mostly non metalic and just hitting the accents with a metallic...

This is what I tried when I was experimenting with painting marines, I really like Black for Grey Knight models - makes them look a bit more Templar-y.

How about ghost knights. they look so much better.

Personally i think you could do any color you want, being as no one in the galaxy is ever supposed to of seen them.

All I can say about painting is that VMC tastes much better than VMA... especially black...

I must say I agree with Iranna and Capamaru on using black, definitely stands out a lot. I'm not saying that the ghost knight idea isn't phenomenal (it is), but even that is a bit too similar to the classical silver GK paint scheme.

I guarantee you that I'm not really as smart as the test says:

My approach is to paint them white. I always associated them with white knights.
