This is what I tried when I was experimenting with painting marines, I really like Black for Grey Knight models - makes them look a bit more Templar-y.
I must say I agree with Iranna and Capamaru on using black, definitely stands out a lot. I'm not saying that the ghost knight idea isn't phenomenal (it is), but even that is a bit too similar to the classical silver GK paint scheme.
