Subject: Disarm and Chaos Daemons Warlord trait

Hi folks
The Chaos Daemons' Warlord trait Death Incarnate gives the Warlord's Melee weapons the Instant Death rule.
Would that mean that even after Disarm has been used, the disarmed Melee Weapon still have the Instant Death rule?
As the Warlord trait mentions "Melee weapons", won't it work on Smash attacks?

To me the Chaos Space Marines needed to be characterised as a threat reaching back to the Imperium's past, a threat which had refused to lie down and become part of history. This is in part why the gods of Chaos are less pivotal in Codex Chaos; we felt that the motivations of Chaos Space Marines should remain their own, no matter how debased and vile. Though the corrupted Space Marines of the Traitor Legions make excellent champions for the gods of Chaos, they are not pawns and have their own agendas of vengeance, empire-building vindication or arcane study which gives them purpose. |

Yep. Even if he has lost a particular weapon, his remaining weapon(s) will still benefit from the rule.
And yes, Smash attacks will still benefit. (Though they probably will cause ID anyway!)

Will they wouldn't automatically cause Instant Death against an Avatar. That's the bugger I want to kill it in Close combat by my Bloodthirster even if the Avatar has Disarm.

Disarm works on only one weapon, so if the Warlord's got more than one, you can get around it that way.
