I´ve got a Contemptor Mortis but since the SW can´t use this load-out i need to swap weapons.
I´m thinking about keeping one Kheres Assault gun + CML and adding a CCW with flamer. Can they use regular or lucius pattern drop pods at all or do you have to footslog?

You'll have to look at the IA rules to see if it can take a Drop Pod (I don't recall if it does personally). IIRC, a Lucius Drop Pod is purchased as a Fast Attack choice in 40k (different rules for Apoc) and costs 65+ points. Any Dreadnought in your army can start the game embarked upon it.

But that's if I remember the rules right, its been a year since I used one and I used my friend's IA book.

Well they can´t use drop pods as dedicated transports... But the books says nothing about lucious pods afaik.
