Hey, I'm looking to start a new army. It's going to be either Chaos or Tau. Visually both of them are fine by me and I have the potential paint schemes and themes figured out, but a part of my process is making a bunch of army lists and trying to figure out how much potential the army book has. So here's a couple select lists from both armies, and since basically all tournaments these days allow allies, many of them have allies that I thought would be good and fun to play with. The allies would be converted to fit the main army's theme.

So here's the lists. My opinion is that they're all very strong but if you like one in particular a lot let me know. Additionally if you have opinions on whether Chaos or Tau is the better choice for the next 2 years tournament circuit then share them. Cheers.
