I watched the video, love it. However, I don't think it is necessary to pin all the spikes and dreadlocks. Too much work for little gain.
Having a good storage\transportation system is the most critical aspect of the model.

That model is awesome, and this is probably the best paint job I've seen for it thus far. I was a little confused at first when you started painting the skin brown but the wash really made a difference, and the shading/highlighting really comes through. I never even noticed that the model had that scarification going on around the arms and leg like that.
