Just picked up the eldar book and it got me thinking about the old rules from 5th edition where if you purchased the same weapon twice the weapon became twin linked.
Does that still apply in 6th edition?? Where is this rule at?? Allowing or disallowing it... could not find any thing under twin linked description.

Err.. what specifically are you referring to? Most weapon upgrades will clearly say if it's twin-linked or not. Just because you have two of the same does not mean its twin-linked.

With the weapons cost it will say the cost for twin linked and there will be the cost for not twin linked.
For example (probably not the correct point number but just a demonstration) Plasma Rifle10/15.
10 is the cost for non twin linked
15 is the cost for twin linked

This is what it looks like in the new Tau codex I'm not sure about the Eldar codex though.

There was no such rule in 5th.

There is no such rule in 6th.

This is why you can't find it.

Yes, in the old eldar book there was a listing where if you purchased two of the same weapon it became twin linked instead of two weapons..
Not seeing that in the new eldar book and was wondering if I just missed something...

That was just a rule about one particular unit, not a general rule that two weapons = twin-linked. It is not in the new Eldar book because the unit does not have that rule anymore.

He is nice, just very matter of fact.

I didnt know about the 1 eldar unit, but i do know that this plagued tau crisis suits up until the most recent edition where you can now take 2 of the same weapon and it doesnt matter

Tyranids will consume the universe!!! There is no chance for survival!!

There was no blanket rule in 5th.
Tau battlesuits had it, ONE eldar unit had it.

It was ONLY the Wraithlord's heavy weapons that became twin-linked if you bought two of the same kind.

Warwalkers could take two of the same and did not become twin linked.

Vypers could take two of the same and not have them become twin-linked.

Vehicles had twin-linked only if it said they did.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...
