So I'm trying to paint a Black Legion CSM army but I've run into a problem. I'm trying to make them as close to how they meant to look as possible (if that makes sense) but no one seems to agree how they are meant to look....
Examples :
http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Black_Legion : Golden trim except on feet.
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440209a&prodId=prod1095439 : Gold and Silver trim
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?prodId=prod1090260 : bronze full trim.

So how do I paint them ?

and here's another one: http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Black_Legion#.UbI60ue1HQM - Black, Gold and Silver

I say you should focus on Black and Gold and add silver as you see fit. They are chaos, their armors aren't as standard as C:SM so you *could* take advantage of this and play around with the gold and silver trims.

And I think they are really gold and silver.

Paint them however you like, because everyone has their own interpretation on how something should look and so it comes down to what suits you the best.

As stated above, its really up to your imagination what you want to do.
I've always interpreted the trim as like a company designation within the Black Legion, ie each Warmaster/Commander has his own trim.
For example - The brass/gold trim belongs to those aligned with Abbaddon etc.
Generally most people go for either silver, gold or brass colours but there's really nothing stopping you using any color.
