As it says; can you look out sir wounds to models in the same unit which are out of line of sight?

Thanks!

Normally you would not be able to put wounds onto a model that is out of sight but on pg16 under 'look out sir' it does give permission for this, if you check the second bullet point where the Look Out Sir is successful it does state ' This can even be a model that is out of range or line of sight of the shooting attack.'

The tough part is figuring out what cover save is allowed for a model that is out of line of sight of every model in the firing unit.

To make life simple we ruled the model the wound is re-allocated to gets the same save the original model.

That's also HIWPI as it's supposed to represent someone jumping in front of the character to take the bullet.

Not sure about RaW though...

While that is a fine house rule, given that the rules don't actually say that you use the cover save of the character model you just use the cover save the model taking the wound would normally get. If a model happens to be completely out of line of sight, then he is going to be getting the cover save of whatever is completely obscuring him, exactly as if it were only obscuring him 25%-99.9%.

The REAL question is if you're using 'focus fire' whether this disallows 'look out sir' from putting a wound onto a model that is outside of the parameters of the 'focus fire' you declared (as the LoS rule only specifies range and LOS as being the specific exemptions).
