Pretty casual list made up for playing with my friends. Bought models that interested me, and i've been working onto fitting them into a reasonable list.

Abaddon rolls with the terminators in the landraider. I play against a lot of shooty army, so my plan is to send these guys right in to the biggest threat. I want to keep them locked in combat, while at the same time, tearing flesh from bone. Standard termicide squad to flame down a large unit. Two squads of marines, lots of meltas for when i face IG (which is most of the time). Obliterators fit a number of roles, that will be determined on a game-to-game basis. Heldrake because why not.

I've been through a few revisions on here, and i'm liking this list the most.
Tell me anything you'd like, most of the list can still be up in the air, but I am happy with this, i just want a lot of second opinions.

Thanks!

I'm not convinced that either the powerfists on the csm or the autoguns on the cultists are worth it.

Also if you are deepstriking the termicide squad to flame hordes I'm not sure the Chainfist on that squad is worth and I think you'll probably do better with a Powermaul which saves points and can still wreck the back armour of most vehicles.

If you swapped the fists for axes on the csm you'd be losing 3st but gaining an extra attack and saving points.

Odd running abby with no chosen also if abby is rolling with the cultists your better off with pistols and CCW however autoguns are quite good people always underestimate mass str3 fire and it always bites em in the ass perfectly fine list for casual play

Why have you put your combat character in a squad of cheap meatshields with ranged weapons? You'd be better off with CCWs and a couple of flamers, in my opinion.. Also, I'd put the Obliterators in the same squad, because you're turning 2 killpoints into one, and a single Oblit is easy to pick off in the first turn (unless DSing) for that vital first blood ;D Also, don't put a Power Fist on your champion, you're better off with a power sword, because usually champions die before they can strike with that power fist.. And if you're thinking of using him for cracking tanks, then, bad idea, you're wasting a whole squad of space marines for.. 3 attacks?

Drop the termies. Get more.oblits and possibly change from regular space.marines to plague marines

Taking out the PF's from the CSM Champs, grouping the obliterators and taking the autoguns from the cultists, i've got about 70 points freed, which would allow me to add 15 cultists to my squad with an additional flamer in it.

Good/Bad idea?

Can be a good idea. I run Kharn with 30 cultists foot slogging it. A good objective holder and always hard to beat in combat. But they do draw a lot of firepower (even more if Abaddon is gonna be with them) and if not in cover, they drop like flys! Also split the cultists with half autoguns and half auto pistols and CCW. A couple of flames can never go wrong, good if they get charged.

I noticed you put the MoS with your termies. That's fine if your running power weapons that aren't axes. But if you are, them points are better off spent elsewhere.

Ever thought of putting dirge casters on your vehicles. For 5pts they are a big bonus for when your units charge, especially when you could get mass firepower coming your way!

Agree the champs and power fists. If he was to get into combat with a vehicle, just give him melts bombs for 5pts (saying that not sure if they can haven't got the codex in front of me)

Just a few ideas. Other than that not a bad list.

He gave them icon of excess to the termi gets feel no pain.

Imho, I would drop the landraider, combine the termi into 1 group, and attach abaddon so they all get fnp. Deepstrike into one corner of his deployment and work your way torwards his home obj. killing all along the way or just ds near it & contest with a very hatd to kill unit (2+/5++ & fnp t4)

Abbadon with cultists will draw a lot of the enemies firepower, and the cultists are good to a point, but when a guard player starts launching templates your way, you could go down quickly. I agree with Filch on how to run him

I feel like that is far too risky to put all my terminators and abaddon in harms way of getting a deepstriking mishap.

That is a big risk. How many people do Chaos Land Raiders hold?

Land Raiders can hold 10 models, but terminators count as 2 models because of their terminator armor (bulky). So if i wanted to run abaddon in the LR with terminators, i'd could only fit him and 4 terminators in there. If i do that, i can't unlock the heavy flamer that needs 5 models in the unit.

I previously had him in the LR with 4 terminators, but i wanted to be able to have the 5 in there, so i'm experimenting with different ways to fit abaddon into the army, and the one that made the most sense was to throw him with a large blob of cultists.

Alright. Do you play against many guard players?

Try putting him with chosen+3 and a pf not on a champ in that lr with a dirge caster.. I use to use 5 flamers instead but that killed nearest enemy causing me to have to charge farther. I haven't tried disembarking from a lr with abaddob detached from burna chosen like 2 pincer claws. Imho, I think only 1 chosen squad should be taken and they should bring 5 flamers and maybe pf or lc.

Does he ever bring out the big AP 2 large blast guns? Because those could be provisions for a bad time
