Since the release of the model I've seen a few threads popping up with people working on this great new model, I was eager to make a start on my own and finally had that chance over the last week. This is without a doubt the biggest kit I've ever worked on, with the next largest being a Contemptor so its something of a daunting task, but having done up a guard in my planned scheme I'm optimistic about how things are going to turn out with this guy. Bearing in mind this is a very WIP model with an unreasonable about on soul stones on it here's where I am at to date:



I also worked up a more scenic looking base which this guy will occupy just as soon as he's finished:

it makes me think of, if the eldar tried to make a sentry buster from TF2's Mann vs. Machine mode...

That base looks amazing. I wish I took the time to make scenic bases like that but whenever I finish painting a model I just can't be bothered.

The scenic base is mainly from the Loken diorama from forgeworld, it has some minor additions but most of it was resin.
