In thinking of selling my Chaos and working solely on a fledgling Ork armband because it lends itself to quick rough and ready paint schemes more easily.
My question is if I had the. Loota/burna box, is it easily done to just add weapon options to normal boys?

In effect can I get 4lootas and 4 burnas with 1 mek from one box and a few extra bodies from an ork boyz set?

Yep, no problem at all.

Jupp you just need the basic ork body / leggs and you can put burna arms / loota arms (weapons) on them with ease, it's a good way to save some cash^^

Yeah, get two boxes of Lootas/Burnas and one box of Ork Boyz, and you can make 10 Lootas and 10 Burnas, with quite a few useful bits leftover too.

While this is good advice, it isn't 100% accurate.

The Loota/Burna box comes with enough bits to make 4 Lootas or Burnas and 1 Mek with a Kustom Mega Blasta. This is unfortunate since both Lootas and Burnas are taken in units of 5-15 and the Mek isn't necessarily a desirable choice, forcing people (outside of conversion) to purchase four boxes to get the models they need instead of three boxes.
