Thanks for the kind words, guys.
In my gaming group, we have in some way accumulated some really nice custom scenery, and we usually use quite a lot on our table when gaming.
The problem we've noticed though, is that even if almost everything manages to get a cover save, you can practically see anything on the table from anywhere. It's all full of holes, or thin forest, low walls etc etc.
The idea with this piece was to create a sizable blind spot, but one that needs to be used tactically. Not just a big
LOS blocking box. So from certain angles you can still see right through it.
At the same time I wanted it to be a fortifiable position. thus the elevation and cover on that elevation.
But not an easily fortifiable position, so you can still be outmanouvered by people coming up from behind if you're only covering one angle.
Jim pretty much already covered these things with 3 words.
I also think I might have gotten the idea for those pillars from one of your posts a long time ago, Jim

I bought them for an old project that I never started.
That said, it hasn't been in a game yet, so we'll see how it actually works out. Taking it could become either a large tactical advantage in our games, or a good way to get all your units killed.
And sorry about the big pics. Didn't have any software to fix that on hand just then. The quality of the pictures does not justify the size.
Edit: I've fixed the image size now.
