What is the point of ordering a single Wolf Guard ( http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440281a&prodId=prod1460201a ) from GW? The only thing I can think of is if you only really wanted one model, but for a little over 20 bucks more you can get 9 more models.

It's a "Classic model", GW basically charging you because they haven't updated a sculpt. Anyone who is old enough to appreciate the 'nostalgia' of that model probably already has a metal one...

Lol you joined the forum to ask this?

It's a cool model, why the hell do you care if people buy it?

Star Trek taught me so much. Like, how you should accept people, whether they be black, white, Klingon or even female...

Wow you're a bottle of sunshine...
I've been lurking for a few weeks now and it was the first question I had that was not answered previously, and I genuinely wanted to know why people would buy that model.

Thanks Quanar, for not being a douche.

That's actually a really old model for a Wolf *Lord* (standard Space Wolves models weren't so different from normal Marines at that point). Once upon a time, it was also the only place you could get that particular head if you wanted to convert it. Of course, it's now in plastic on the sprue too.

GW are likely only listing it in the hopes of selling off the stock of it they still have.

Well, it's Finecast so it's not the old metal stock. They just put it up there because they figure some people might like the model, I'm sure. Personally I've never liked that model (the wolf heads look a bit too silly, even for me) but if somebody likes it, it's an option.

...so it is. Wow - ok, I have no idea what they were thinking, then.

Not even available in my country. The link takes me to the homepage and looking through the SW section doesn't show it anywhere.

Oh well, GW has already shown that they don't want New Zealanders' money.

If people want the old style weapons they might pick one up, but other than that its just a sculpt that used to be popular I guess
