After spending an age putting my new Kroot together, I realised one thing. I hate building minatures!

So mighty forum, recommend me an army that doesn't require me to glue endless bits together, preferably a WHF army as I'm going to still with building my Farsight army.

Thats a pretty large part of the hobby I'm afraid.
It can be a bit of a chore cleaning up mold lines and stuff like that, and when kits dont fit quite right it's just infuriating
But we struggle through, knowing that this is a relatively small part of a mini's life, but one that will affect how good it looks forever.
You might want to look at the starter sets models to start out with as theyre all snap fit that dont 'need' glueing, they cna be just popped together. Unfortunatly for you though, once you step outside of the base game boxed sets then most of the kits involve some contruction. Some harder than others.... its just the way it goes.

'Ain't nothing crazy about me but my brain. Right brain? Riight! No not you right brain! Right left brain? Right!... Okay then lets do this!!

Dammit, it was never like this in 2nd/3rd edition!

Go with Dark Angels. The Dark Vengeance starter could be purchased tons of times (and you can sell all the Chaos models on Ebay to make some of that money back). It's all snap-together with very few bitz. I LOVE the DV models, because it can be a bit frustrating modeling 10 guys that are just going to get shot down pretty quick to have "dynamic" poses when the ones out of DV are just fine.

Plus, they just got a new codex so they're actually a pretty solid army. My 9-year-old plays them to great effect and I love how cheap and easy it is getting him new models because of DV. Here and there, it's easy to pick up a box to fill out different weapon options (mostly Plas in DV).

Also, they would work well for Vanilla Marines, Blood Angels, Black Templar, etc. depending on how set you are on WYSIWYGing. I'm considering getting the codex for the other armies to let him play around with different armies.

I played DA on 2nd or 3rd edition, so that might be a shout. I just want something that's good to paint without having to build a rank and file troop out of 12 bits!

Basically: nothing. Most miniature games are made so you can have fun with your minis. If you don't want to build them, buy pre-made ones or snap-fit models off eBay or something. You probably won't get anything that looks cool or dynamic, but I'm guessing you don't care and just want to get on the board fast.

Sister of Battle? They're all metal, and hard to find, but pretty much all the models are one-piece. Same goes for any other all-metal force - some of the old IG regiments?

Of course, you could always buy second hand from eBay. It's a bit more work, but pretty much everything is pre-assembled. Really helps for vehicles...

Games Workshop model's modularity are one of their key selling points. If you don't want to build the kits then I'd say look at another company's miniatures, as the market's biased towards kits that you don't have to put together (or at least without as many bits). =P

OH! WHF!!

A lot of the Mantic figures are really simple one or two-part molds. AND you save a fair bit of money. They do very simple Undead...

Ogres have fewer miniatures than most others.

You could buy second hand army or commission someone to do an army to your specs.
