I'll Be Back

Hello!

Don't mind the bold - just checking how it all looks.

Hello! I have taken the name of Autekh - my love of Necrons is not hard to see and I decided to honour it with the username. I recently became interested again with the game after a nearly three year sabbatical. I first came to love the game in the early days of Assault on Black Reach, as many of my friends would go on and on about it. Eventually I was given a spare Ork and I rushed home to paint it. It is truly a sight to behold! My painting skills were poor then - they are still bog-standard today.

Afterwards I spent a while browsing on the web, at the Space Marines and Orks. Then I went up to Northumbria and when we were passing through a town, I visited the GW - I picked up a Necron destroyer. I had to wait to take it home and spray it, and I couldn't wait. I collected more and more Necrons, eventually saving up enough to buy a battle force. I did so and then took part in many a fine battle! In 2010 I moved on. I was getting tired of Necrons and I felt I had too much to do.

I dipped back in to the game in 2011, in time for the new Codex - but I only played a couple of games then lost interest. However, in January my brother became interested again in the game (he has a similar tale to mine). I became more and more intrigued to see what they had done to my beloved Necrons and if they were still good.

So I've dusted off my models and now am finally finishing the remnants of the battle force! I now love the Necrons one more, though a lot of the new fluff is a little dodgy to say the least. I'm now seeking to learn more, paint better - and start an army of the Imperium! I have one group of Imperial Guard and around five Space Marines and a Dreadnought (a gift).

I'm hoping to make my own chapter or legion of the Imperium - I love backstory so I thought I'd create my own background for my men! Hopefully you'll see me around, and hopefully see some of my 'Novaguard' too...

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

IceAngel wrote:I must say Knightley, I am very envious of your squiggle ability. I mean, if squiggles were a tactical squad, you'd be the sergeant. If squiggles were an HQ, you'd be the special character. If squiggles were a way of life, you'd be Doctor Phil...
