Labor Day Lord of War Event Kick Off Event

I am thinking of Organizing a Labor Day Weekend Lord of War Kick-Off Game. I am tentatively going to set it for Sunday September 2nd 2012 with a start time 10:00 to get everything started and official Start Time of 12:00 Noon. Everyone bring a 3,000 Point APOC Style Game. We will not be using APOC Rules, but we will put all of the Large Tables together and just have a Large Battle. We will most likely just use the one The Relic Scenario [can only be described as Australian Rules football]. If there is an even number of players we will do teams, an odd number, Free-For-All.
I will provide some Drinks and Snacks, but not Real Food. We will probably Order out for Pizza or Chinese around 4:00.

If you want to play, but don’t have an army a loner army can be provided.
If necessary I will change the Date to Saturday.

The Warhammer 40k Lord of War Campaign

The Lord of War Campaign [LoW] is based on the GMI Gods of War Campaign. The idea is to have all of us get in more games and learn the 6th Edition Rules. This is a game outside the normal Monthly Warhammer 40k Game.

The Basic Rules
When we will play: Any Time Any Place
 You have the Responsibility to contact each of the other players involved with the Campaign and arrange the game’s Time and Location.
 Each Player should play each other once a Month.

What Armies:
 Each Player will get a 3,000 Point List.
 This will give you 2 FOC’s including a 2nd Ally Detachment and 2nd Fortification Choice.
 You will use your PRIMARY DETACHMENT each month.
 For Example: If you choose Space Marines, this is your PRIMARY DETACHMENT for the rest of the Campaign.
 Each month you may change up to 1,000 points on your list each month.
 Allies will be allowed.
 Allies can not be more points than your PRIMARY DETACHMENT.
 If you choose a second Ally Detachment it most come from the same Codex as the 1st Ally Detachment.
 You can change your Allies each month, but they will count against your 1,000 points of change limit.
 Fortification will also be Allowed, changing your fortifications will not count against your 1,000 point of change limit.
 Note: I will leave may place open for anyone who need to get together as long as noting else is planed.
 Note: I do have Loaner Armies if needed, just remember I do have 1st dibs on my own Armies.
 Proxies Armies: I have no issues with Proxy-Armies as long as it is not a Coke Bottle Army.

The Battle:
 Each month one of the Mission from the 6th Edition Rule Book.
 We will just start with Mission #1 Crusade.
 Deployment will be randomized for Each Individual Game.
 Unless you change your Warlord it will remain your Warlord for the Campaign.
 Your Warlord Ability will be randomized for each Game.
 Psychic Powers will be chosen and if needed rolled for each Game.
 Any other conditions will need to be decided upon by the two players.

Post Battle:
 I would like a Post Battle Report. It does not need be long and involved, just a basic rundown of the forces involved, a simple what happened and who won will do.
 A simple Report on any issues or what went really well, please post this separate for the battle repot.
 Post any Pictures you took.

Other things I would like to see:
 Painted Armies: If your army is unpainted try to make some progress during the Campaign.
 Collecting of your Army: If you are using one of my [or others] Army or a Proxy-Army please at least add one unit per month to your army.
 Owning Your Own Codex: I do have Copies of all of the Codex, but Try to get your own Copy of your [and your Allies] Codex by the end of the Campaign.
 Owning Your Own Copy of the Rules: I do have Copies of the Rule Book, but Try to get your own Copy of the rules by the end of the Campaign.
