I recently thought about trying to recast the old ship models i have for personal use. The game is long OOP. What I was wanting to know is what you all would recommend for a noob in order to do this and what is the cheapest method to do this as my budget is tight. The reason i realy started thinking about this is really that the paint jobs i did sucked (did them when young teen pre warhammer days) and i going to throw them in a both..(although i think i used testors paint on them... so not sure how to strip that type of paint or maybe simple green will still work. If istrip them they will be in pieces anyways so then i thought... humm... might as well see if i can make some molds and recast them and not have just one Enterprise, but a fleet of them etc... and maybe sell the orignial and keep the clones for myself if make sense?

Thoughts? Advice? etc? Thx

Man, my advise would be not to cast them. I have some of those old FASA strships and they are very flimsy. I would reccomend that you just save some cash up and buy the new Clix versions of the starships and repaint them.

As far as stripping goes...try that LA fantastic stuff from the dollar store. It works like a charm.
