Subject: Magnus vs Russ?

It seems like this would be a massive stomp in Magnus's favor but whenever they fought Magnus never used his psyker abilities. How come Magnus didn't grow to the size of a warlord titan and literally stomp him to death, How come Magnus didn't straight up destroy his soul. Why didn't he just crush him with telekinesis like he did those Eldar titans. I understand from reading "A Thousand Sons" that Magnus was a relatively loving individual by 40k standards and that Russ was a spiteful, ruthless person. (there's not another word but I dont consider primarchs human) Was Magnus holding back or is Russ immune to psyker energy or is there something else i'm missing?

Magnus was busy at the moment. He was fighting Russ while simultaneously holding off the Space Wolf army by throwing an ocean at them.

I too have always felt that they bitched the 1k sons and Magnus. If they had managed to stay loyal, they would have wrecked the traitors wholesale.

Magnus also has a horrible tendency to literally forget how strong he is, not sure if it happened vs Russ, but during the Battle of the Fang it happened several times.

Magnus, didn't use any psychic powers against Russ untill he broke his armor. Its entirely possible that Russ' "Thrice blessed armor" actually means something. At least other then Russ is wearing it.
Remember that when the captain blasts Russ with psychic fire. The fire touches Russ' armor and then turns on the caster.
And if Russ' armor does have "Special" anti warp capabilities then Magnus would surely know about it.
