I am still in the startup phase or what I consider to be a startup phase with a chaos army and I'm running into a couple snags. Due to money constraints I'm stuck at about....1250 points or so. I'm going to eventually make my way to 2000 points and even have the list but I wanted to ask a few opinions from some of you guys that may have played with these units before

I'm looking at a daemon prince..with MoN black mace wings power armor
I have a warpsmith armed normally
a termi lord with a power axe and combi weapon
the dark vengeance lord

What's the best HQ out of these 4 I could use atm? I have 5 termis all armed different with lots of shooting. I'm playing an iron warriors list and I love the idea of a 2k daemon vehicle smash list. I'm looking at heldrakes and forgefiends mixed with oblits bikers and then my troops are blobs of marines with a few cultists. I even have some helbrutes =D

Use the regular lord and swap the plasma pistol out its a waste of points.

Sure, but I don't know with what and I don't really know what to do with him. He just seems to be a 100+ point sink for fearless.

I'm a fan of the flying Prince of Doom personally. Granted it will not always get there, but when it does it will be soo sweeeet

I have played one game with this army and the only thing I had a problem with the prince was his cost, and his killyness. He was to killy! I killed three horror units and a unit of screamers and the guy was on his way to massacre another squad...but he was close to 300 points. Does anyone know the best layout for a prince? Like what mark and things to take? I'm a bit lost on this guy, I love him to death but man is he expensive and so very very scarey to take =[

Yea, that's the risk. Honestly with Nurgle I'd prolly pass on Power Armor (maybe). Just place the big flying guy so he's obscured and use nurgles increased cover saves.

Mind you if he wasn't close to 300 pts he'd be a steal.

Do you think any of the psychic powers are worth taking? I just worry about combat with a prince with no power armor at the points I'm spending for him I wanna make sure he gets through all of the combats lol
